Description
Six Musical Moods is the first publication to have as its theme the unknown musical oeuvre of the American painter Louis Michel E ilshemius, who was discovered by Duchamp in 1917.Eilshemius was unknown to the general public until Duchamp discovered him in the f amous first exhibition of the Society of Independent Artists in New York in 1917. Unsurprisingly, perhaps, given the artistic lust f or the authentic, his work subsequently found its way into the collections of Louise Bourgeois, Jeff Koons, Ugo Rondinone and Jeff Wall.
